A Question of Exclusivity 1955 PG

Anne I need to talk to you.

Of course Charles. What do you need?

We agreed to an exclusive relationship two years ago, I’m wondering if you’d be willing to be released.

Willing? Anne asked. Do I have a choice or am I being fired?

You have a choice. I wouldn’t normally release you this soon but it’s because of Sarah.

I thought she liked me! I didn’t mean to offend her. Whatever I did it won’t happen again.

Charles laughed. Anne, you didn’t do anything wrong. Sarah likes you very much. I’m going to turn her and she’d like you to be her exclusive.

Me? Why? Wouldn’t she like to pick someone new?

She wants someone she trusts. Someone who’s not afraid of telling her if something hurts or if she’s drinking too fast. How do you feel about feeding a woman?

I have no problem with that. I was actually a semi-regular for a Cleaner before I went exclusive with you. I’m a little afraid of a fledgling though.

As well you should be. That’s why you’re a good choice Anne. You’re not foolish. I would be there to supervise all feedings in the beginning. The first couple of weeks I would withdraw blood and feed her in a glass so she got used to your taste.

Do you want me to do this Charles?

It’s your choice. He said quietly.

That’s not what I asked. Do you want me to do this?

Yes. You’re a wonderful donor and I would have kept you for years to come but that’s why you’re perfect for Sarah.

What about the other girls? If I say no are you asking anyone else?

No. If you say no you’ll be released with everyone else in about a year.

Everyone at the same time?

Yes. Anne I don’t want you to tell the others.

I won’t but I’ve seen you release people and it’s never everyone at the same time.

I’ll need to keep up my strength as a sire but once Sarah is settled it’s easier to get donors that will be exclusive to both of us.

So I’ll still be released in a year.

That would be up to Sarah. The first regular donor is an important bond besides I don’t think you’d object to feeding me if Sarah allowed it.

Anne thought for a minute. Charles, I’ll be honored to be Sarah’s donor. I’ll stay as long as you both need me.

Charles took a deep breath. There was something ominous in what Anne said even though he could tell her intentions were kind and pure.

Thank you. Sarah wants to meet with you tonight to ask you personally. Please don’t mention anything to the others about Sarah’s turning. I haven’t decided if it’s next week, next month or six months from now.

Of course Charles. That’s going to be your anniversary you have to choose the date carefully.

Charles had always been proud of his ability to choose loyal and generous donors but he knew he was lucky that Anne O'Neill had come into his life.

In the light of what will happen as we know it, this is so sad. He's taking such good care of Sarah and of his freshies, and taking into account all of their feelings, fears and capabilities. And still everything will go so wrong.

I agree it is very sad you prepare for the best and sometimes the worst happens.

And I'm not usually a Josef/Sarah reader.
As Francis says it very " " because we know the outcome.
I want to know what happens about Anne, is there more?

Hi Aussie thanks for reading especially since you don't reach much Josef/Sarah. They are a personal favorite of mine.


I wrote a story Freshie Present/Freshie Past which has a flashback with Anne after the unsuccessful turning of Sarah and a the other half is with her grand-daughter Aquamarine viewtopic.php?f=160&t=4451 Then I did a story with Aquamarine's first party at Josef's viewtopic.php?f=160&t=4455 I'll probably do more with each character in the future.

This shook me up because at first, I thought it was a story after Josef woke up and he'd taken her back to LA. I got confused after reading so many 'she woke up' stories. When I realized this happens in 1955, I got a chill. That was so sad.

There are a lot of Sarah wake up stories and since I adore Sarah I write a lot of them

This is a sad story because you can do everything right and still things turn out wrong.
