I only liked last week's, but I LOVED this week's. We got a little more info on all the docs, but mostly Andy, which as you all likely know, is fine with me. And I liked all the guest stars better. And Alex SO rocked Andy this week. Yay!

And Lucky is, as always, right. They had to throw in a gratuitous bomb threat and the donor HAD to be a killer... so yeah, over-done. But it didn't muck up the ep, IMO, and more importantly, didn't muck up the main characters. Hopefully Barbee will get this mess out of her system soon and it can settle into a normal frantic rhythm...

But I do NOT understand why they aired this ep second. Makes no sense. Why scare off a premiere audience with a sub par ep?? This one woulda made MUCH better reviews I think... but then I don't run a show nor a network... clearly. Or else we'd have the Alex channel... with special guest star... Jason. 24/7.

Great idea, Grace. I wonder where we could get folks to write additional seasons of ML.

This episode was so much better than last week. I expected the delay with the lungs, kinda like a western bar fight somebody has to go through a window.
The writers think it adds drama. Maybe they will get this out of their system & just let the story flow.

Guess talking while walking is how we find out about their backgrounds. By the time the story gets told I will be exhausted.

SpongeBob still annoys me, but less than last week.

This was much better. They should have run this first when they had the critic's eye and the audience. I hope most of the people from last week came back but, to be honest, if Alex weren't in it, I wouldn't have.

So now we sit and wonder what the ratings will be for this week. And, with this show's split personality, I wonder which Three Rivers will be on next week, the good one or the bad one?

I have to admit that I didn't watch last weeks after hearing what was said about. I held by breath and waited to see if the comments got better as the season wore on. Glad it didn't take long for people to have better things to say about it. Now I'm trying to decide if I should just skip the first episode.....probably won't but it's a thought.

Clair, may I suggest that you not skip it? There were definitely good things about the first episode, although I agree that this week's episode would have been a better first ep. But... maybe the football game really DID have an effect on the decision.

So... we've learned some interesting things about our main cast, but we have a lot more to learn. They obviously work well together and have a good relationship--I absolutely believed that scene at the end with the beer. Are there still a bunch of issues to work out? Hellz yeah. But once again, the potential is shining through. And I am definitely going to be back to see how well they live up to that potential.

(And I'm hoping that "Heavy-hands" Barbee lightens up a little bit as the season goes on...)

Thanks for the tip. I'll watch. Besides, what kind of hardship can it be watching Alex do anything? :happysigh:

Oh, this was much better. I didn't cringe at all! Alex was more subdued in his performance, the lines less cheesy, it was not mauldin. I'm loving getting to know these docs. The plot flowed better. I thought the bomb scare was stuck in there to make the moment more dramatic and that seemed forced. But it helped redeem Sponge Bob, so it was good. I liked the music, too. I really like Katherine. She's a great actress. Dr. Andy was competent and dreamy at the same time. I'd like to see him more cheeky and flawed. So far he's still a saint.

I loved the little tear in Andy's eye on the balcony when he uttered something like "We are going to make it work." That was a great moment! I'm excited for next week now to find out what is behind that tear.

I'd like to know why they didn't air this episode first because I thought it was far better.

Ummm.... yeah. :hearts: And hey, did you notice that in the scene tonight with the three doctors drinking beer, that Alex's eyelashes cast HUGE shadows on the bridge of his nose?!

alle spotted the EOW. Imagine my surprise... :giggle:

I agree with everyone else - this was much better than last week and I have no idea why they didn't show it first. The major problem is that they didn't do any kind of flashback/explanation so we were left with Ryan having a first day after last week when he was already in situ. That would have been SO easy to fix!!!

But, we got much more of a sense of who these people are - it was just better. The guest stars were great too. V good. Fingers crossed for the numbers. :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

P.S. Just a reminder to everyone - there's no need to use spoiler tags in this thread.

Am I sooooo predictable? :blushing: I can't help it--I'm a sucker for eyelashes a mile long... attached to eyes that gorgeous...attached to a face that wondrously expressive...attached to a brain so creative and a body so expressive. :rose:
