OK, I'm about to rant... sorry...

People have criticized Alex for making Andy's character so earnest. But JUST LOOK AT THAT PIC OF HIM!!!! Look at that face--not at his gorgeousness, but at his personality!

Alex IS earnest. He cares so much. He puts so much of himself into his roles. I think he's channeling his OWN earnestness when he does Andy--although of course, he's acting his guts out in that role. Andy has a very different personality than Alex, just as Mick was different, and every other role he's created as well.

What I love about Alex (even more than his beauty or his voice), what just amazes me every day, is the devotion and dedication he has to his craft, to his character, and to creating the world that his character inhabits.

Yeah--I love, love, LOVE having him on my TV every week. But kids, I'm falling in love with this show, dammit. The more I see of Three Rivers, the more I appreciate the work that's being done there. Yeah, it's got flaws. But there's a lot of world to create there. The actors are all so good! They are working so hard to make this world real. I want them to have time to finish what they've started. And I want the network to give them a break and let them do it.

Oh crap, now I'm all emotional!!

He knows that he's good looking .. and a "marginal, lowly actor" but I really doubt that he knows the kind of effect he has on women. He's just very humble that way..and, I find that very very sexy and appealing...

I hope he never gets the ego that so many others in Hollywood have succumbed to..believing their own press..

Yes, he has to have a clue...he receives naked pics with accompanying addresses in the mail from strangers after all! Although I doubt it would occur to him that a pic of him at a keyboard could be particularly alluring.

Nice post Alle and I so agree. He seems to be such a deep feeling person and gives so much of himself, really puts it out there....and it is so endearing.
