The Go-To Guy: A Guillermo Drabble


I’m the Go-To Guy. Yeah, I don’t have money, like Kostan, or looks, like St. John. Not even computer smarts like Logan Griffin, or Ryder England, not that he’s been around much, lately. I just hang in my morgue, and drain whatever lands on the slab. Mick said once that Josef is proof paranoia never goes out of style. I’m proof that being a vamp isn’t necessarily exciting or glamorous. Maybe I ought to get out, more than just to the movies or poker night. But you know, I’ve got my reasons to be on call. I’m the Go-To Guy.

This is awesome--it doesn't feel like a drabble. It just feels so natural--like a little random thought that G might have on a normal shift at the morgue.

Ah, thanks, Alle...I could kind of hear some random vamp telling him he's the real "go-to-guy," and him pondering that just a bit.

I love Guillermo, he's just your average working class hero. And I can see him once in a while wanting more from life than what he has. Not all the vampires have the opportunity to see the world and do great things. But in the scheme of things, Guillermo is important. I hope he knows.
