Indeed he will cook on the set, figuratively, if not literally....wonder how Rachel will react?

(psst, grace, I didn't know we had a mole in Chez Fleur :snicker: )

Looking at the promo shot, it seems the segment was shot on Thursday, the day he did the Early Show interview and made an impromptu appearance on the Today Show (man board, or what ever it was called.) He must have been a busy man that day making the rounds...

Hopefully, he's either back in LA or getting there soon. The Kimmel gig is all of two days away, then the BUP premiere, then we'll all be exhausted looking at all the clips again and again and again....

Yeah, it's a lousy job, looking at one gorgeous image after another... :mdrama: trying to decide which of the 'looks' appeals more. It's tough, but someone's got to do it.

And thanks so much for the Rachael Ray info---tivo set and ready. Hubby was nearby as I was setting up the dvr and he asked: "What's he gonna do on THAT show, cook?" Oh yeah, baby. He certainly is. *Mr Fleur sets me up in grace's absence!*
Fleur, you always have me laughing out loud. I'm not much of a Rachael Ray fan and my first though was "why would Alex do HER show?" And then I realized I really don't care why. He's there and even with no food involved Alex is cookin'. So my DVR is also set to catch all his perfection and glory. It's not like I'm gonna notice Rachael at all. But so help me God, if she squees.

She will, trust me, she will. She's a bubbly, exuberant personality to begin with. With Alex sitting across the table from her, how could she not?

:giggle: No kidding. He could be on the Bass Fishing Channel and I would watch it without questioning why the hell he's on BFC. (I have no idea if there is an actual Bass Fishing Channel, and if there is and I have offended anyone......ah, get over it)

If Rachel doesn't squee, she isn't alive.
I posted a new album of BUP pix on my FB page (thanks again GA for letting me steal that one of him wearing the henley, sigh) and my goodness, I have gotten some reallllly postive responses from friends who know nothing of him. Lots of "I'll take 2 of him" and my fave: "Alex Oh My"

He's universally appealing.

I had to check and see if there was a Fishing Channel. There is World Fishing Network but my cable system does not carry it so if Jason or Alex show up on it I can't see it. :mdrama: :rolling:

gawd! I am SO frustrated that all this Alex exposure (for you, Fleur!) has to come while I'm working 16-18 hours a day! I wish I could enjoy the blow-by-blow (now, Fleur, contain yurself) with all of you...

I'm trying to catch up... is all I've missed the "women" interviews?? (Today, etc)? I've just put RR in the DVR (haven't even had time to do that!), so it seems I've missed two others? Caught the Today Show interview thru the link here, then the 'man thing' ... it is a CRIME, CRIME, CRIME that the man is too busy for romance ... what a waste! I would be willing to make myself available to bat my eyes at him for 2 minutes here or there, middle of the night romps, or 10-minute set breaks to help the man out. Anything for the cause, and all...

I agree with whoever said that Hoda has gotten vapid in this new gig. And don't get me started on KLG - ugh! However, as much as I find these women to be generally an insult to our gender, I am so glad that Alex is getting lots of good publicity and it's not all J Lo (which is what I feared). They are putting him in places where women will see him, and as we all know, THAT'S ALL IT WILL TAKE. Just let them see him, catch his wit and charm and happy state, and glimpse some of the intelligence that lurks behind -- and they'll all be goners, just like us.

So now that he's famous :clapping: , time to start working on the love life. Who can we line up for him? Come on, girls, we have a new project... :chin:

:rolling:

p.s. And Alle (Nadioz), thanks for the pics. You were right, it was worth coming over from the Appreciating Alex thread to see the rest of the pics. Yowza!

ETA: Apparently, I missed an Early Show appearance, too. Is there a link to that one here anywhere? And Alle, I might be changing my mind about the grey cardigan :gasp: . Do you think he wears it when he goes to NY so he looks more intelligent? Sort of Woody Allen-ish (but in a tres, tres more attractive way). :rolling: And there's a Kimmel coming up? When is that? Alle, I'm so jealous you get to go! Blow a big kiss for all of the rest of us, 'kay?

Here you go, sweetie. (Thanks to Lilly for posting it originally.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aFbr7w3rPI

Actually, the audio on that one was slightly out of sync, although it did have the autograph-signing part. This one has the actual in-studio interview, with the audio lined up correctly: http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id= ... ideoArea.0

He was adorable... charming... sweet... and just generally swoon-worthy. :melts: :melts: :melts:

Here's video of Alex, looking adorably scruffy in his glasses, hat, and beard, signing autographs the night before his Early Show interview. Posted on YouTube by hipsupbaby. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32S7oykC ... r_embedded

Hey HotMicks!! Thanks for all the double entendres---or as I refer to them, normal conversation for Fleur!

Alle- I couldn't think of a better person to represent all of us at Kimmel. Well, I would prefer it were me representing, but I would not be a better person anywhere in the vicinity of Alex.
Enjoy the hell out of yourself at the Kimmel show--you are in fact enjoying it for a few hundred of us here, so, be careful to not explode with happiness!

Fleur, your welcome, any time. Some days, your double entendre is the most excitement I get.

Thanks so much for the links, Alle. Now I feel all caught up 8-) . I really like that he said H50 is the biggest pilot CBS has ever done. I'm assuming that means they aren't skimping on the "action" part of the show (no trade-offs between a helicopter and tofu ice cubes this time around!). I found it ironic that Maggie said "star of The Shield and Moonlight" but no mention of 3R. CBS can't run away from that one fast enough, can they?

And if I understand the time sequence of the videos correctly, the man went from lovable, scruffy, puppy-dog-in-a-hat (pre-Early Show taping) to svelte, suited and shaved (Early Show taping) in the same morning. Man, I'm a goner. :melts:

And Alle, for your "Kimmel Assignment" (top secret mission and all), based on expected updates to the 2000 census - below - I have precisely calculated that the majority of the U.S. female population is now 40-60 years old and, given that when a woman sees another woman get REALLY excited about something, she will also want that something, you need to squee like a 40-60-year-old-woman when you're at the taping. We are on a mission to get the man some recognition, after all. :rolling:

Image
(sorry, I had to look this info up for work yesterday, and d@m^ed if all I could think of was "42 million more potential fans for Alex"! :giggle: And somehow, I find it comforting how parallel those population patterns are ... like there is a master plan to it all  )
