DSR, as I've just posted a list of recent interview links for Lilly's media links thread, I ran across this Alex quote from one of my earlier posts there:
:snicker: OUR MISSION: (quoted from the above interview)
"I think my fans, because they’re so, comprehensive, with their study of me, and their research [laughs] of me, I think that they’re probably starting to get to know me a bit now, as well, and if they’re still my fans, it means they still like me."
The man has no idea we're into charts and graphs now! :rolling:

But back to BUP and our mission: career security through fandom growth! I think I'll ask my bus company why my corner bus stop has no gorgeous Aussie man on it... do you think they take rider requests? :chin:

Probably not, but it never hurts to ask :giggle:

Interesting quote from Alex....does he think that if we really 'get to know him', we wouldn't like him? Hard to imagine, unless he's an even better actor than I give him credit for.

Funny thing is that I honestly don't know the man, nor will I likely ever. I know his characters, liking some more than others. I know the public face he puts on, when he does interviews such as we've seen this last week. Sometimes funny, sometimes serious, never rude or obnoxious. I know him by his philanthropic efforts with the Red Cross and Donate for Life. But who Alex O'Loughlin really is, I'll never know other than by what he chooses to share with us. And that's all right.

PS One thing I do know is that he's an amazingly good sport about being put under the spotlight and 'researched'. If only he knew....

HotMicks, I solemnly swear to squee exactly like a woman aged 40-60 when I go to the Kimmel Show.... which means that I'll squee in a mature, warm, and elegant fashion, with overtones of intellectuality, and hints that I'm into research. Um... and I'll wear my pendant and my Mick ring, and possibly a Henley. :snicker:

LOVE your chart! It reminds me of Barbara Boxer, who is my favorite California senator ever. :teeth: (For people who don't know, she's famous for the charts she presents during debates. That woman always has her ducks in a row.) :twothumbs:

I'm loving DSR a lot right now, by the way... thank you, honey, for that wonderful post. Soooo true. And it's exactly as it should be.

A junket interview from Made In Hollywood - pretty cute and I love J Lo's answer to the first question (she asks the interviewer, "Did you see the movie?" :snicker: ) : http://llolvideos.ning.com/video/alex-a ... on-made-in

And here's the "shirtless" promo for CBS Monday: http://llolvideos.ning.com/video/alex-a ... r-host-cbs

thank you for posting this!!! for a moment, I really thought I'd dreamt it, but now I know it's real!!! Also hadn't caught the last bit about 'ratings'....it may have been tongue in cheek, but ratings are what matters.

THANK YOU, Red. :hearts:

I loved the quick Monday Night Promo with Jen saying Alex would be shirtless - taking one for the ratings. :)

JLo looked beautiful, as always, on the Today Show this morning. No mention of Alex though. However, she did mention that if you take a cab in Manhattan today, and there is a Back-Up Plan sign on it, BUP will pick up the taxi fare! Smart promotional idea. And as she was leaving in a cab, on the back driver's side window was a pic of Alex, she appeared to be surprised to see it, and was leaning towards it as if she was gonna kiss it or something.

And GA--you can have him push you on the swing. I'm gonna go down the slide with him. He can sit behind me and hold me allllllll the way down.

Not sure if this has already been posted (it's easy to lose track...) but, in addition to Alex being on Jimmy Kimmel tonight, Anthony Anderson is on the show on Thursday 22nd.

You know in the promos, when Zoe crashes the car? I don't think it would be safe to have Alex's face on my car window...
