This is an interview with Alex that's part of Movieline's "The Verge" series, i.e. people on the verge of breaking big. It covers The Back-Up Plan, Hawaii Five-0, Bond, Moonlight, Alex's attitude to his career and lots of other great stuff. A really good read.
thanks, red....sounds like one of the most relaxed interviews he's had.....found his need to jump in the ute (love that, btw) and get away for a while refreshingly honest....

What a cool interview. Alex had a chance to go into his motivations and thoughts in a meaningful way, and it was really a pleasure to read.
I soooo understand what he means about jumping in the ute and getting away after he finished acting school. I imagine that he really needed that recovery time, after working 2 jobs and going to school full-time. I remember the way I felt after I finished my BA degree--I just wanted to relax for a while. I was so burnt out from the final drive to the finish line, I didn't even want to think about looking for work.
Thanks for posting the link. I got this in a flurry of AOL google alerts and lost it. Don't know the interviewer but I liked the way his questions were phrased: "Is making this movie your gift to them (the fanbase)?" And of course, Alex's answers. This is one of the best.

Thank you for posting this interview. It was one of the more in-depth, intelligent ones. I liked it so much I had to comment. But I wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for you so thanks Redwinter.
