Thanks, grace. Totally shows off the chemistry and sense of fun these two have established. I can only imagine the fun they had on the set.

But Alex totally ignored the interviewer's question about H5O! Leaves me wondering if he was just really having that good of a time with Jen or if he did it on purpose.

Sigh. Another charming interview from Mr O'L.. Honestly, even if I didn't love him to pieces, I would still think he is the best talk show guest. Handsome, witty and so at ease with himself. And can that man make your jaw drop by just walking?? He has the best strut--confident, sexy and all man.

I think I heard alle squeeing in the audience!

OK. More double posting. Again apologies.

Supposedly, those of us who are not Alle ( :smooch: :smooch: :smooch: ) can watch the premiere red carpet walks via the internet:

Awwwww, red, that's a fabulous interview, thanks for finding it.

"You're supposed to be drunk when you sleep on the couch."
"We go to school in kangaroo pouches." :rolling:
"learn to kill things with a stick" :rolling:
"She passed." :rolling:
Loved the whole spin on testing the chemistry of the interview in case they actually do it. :rolling:

He was soooo cute, confident, witty and charming. Only quaffle I have is that his sweater was two sizes too small. But I forgive him. He looked like a little boy. :happysigh:

Have you seen the clip on-screen yet? Is it any different than it appeared in person??
Inquiring, one-track, obsessed, addicted minds wanna know... :blushing:

And I think someone needs to give Alex, or he needs to come up with, a hair joke. Cause the Jack Lord hair... :giggle:
(I think it woulda been fun if Alex would whip out a pic of HIM as Mick... and say ,"I can do hair; I can take-on Jack with the hair.")
Uh-oh... I'm double-posting now! It's contagious! :snicker:

Grace, it was totally worth waiting around. We made friends with Linc, the (cute!) guy who's the audience wrangler (he has a nice-sounding title which I forgot, but that's basically who he was). When he discovered that there were about 20 Alex fans, he let us all wait together and they seated all of us (kinda) together, in the middle of the audience.

One interesting thing is that there are a LOT of places in the audience where your view is badly obstructed, mostly by the two huge cameras in the center. They seat the standby people (the ones who didn't have tickets already) in the obscured-view seats. BUT... the very best seats in the house are "reserved" for special guests of various sorts. I have NO idea how you get to be one of the lucky few who get to sit in the close-up seats, or in the other seats with completely unobstructed views. Those seats were marked with pieces of masking tape, and the "special" people (who were just people, as far as we could see!) got seated after us hoi-polloi.

Alex did not seem to specifically notice the group of his fans. And we were sitting pretty far back, even though we were all together. The studio is small (maybe seats 150 or 200?) but the audience was in darkness the whole time he was on, so I don't think he could see past the bright stage lights. (The audience was instructed NOT to stand up at any time while the show was being taped, so there wasn't much we could do to make ourselves known.) I was told by people who'd been to the Ferguson show that the studio for Kimmel has maybe 50 more seats than the Ferguson studio, if that helps at all.

The clip seems very much like what we saw, except that I think they edited the boomerang stuff slightly. There was a little more give-and-take between Alex and Jimmy K. about the difference between curved and straight boomerangs, but it was pretty inconsequential. The part where Alex said, "Did I hear people saying 'aww'? It wasn't cute. It was nasty" was just soooo funny. :rolling: His stories were funny and fun, and I thought it was a good interview.

The part about Jack Lord's hairstyle was really funny, and Alex was so cute when people in the audience were (incorrectly) correcting his use of the word "quiff" - he said something like, "Hey, I'm Australian! We're different!" and he made such a silly face--we couldn't really see that from the audience. I'm happy to have gotten the opportunity to be there in person AND see the clips after.

Thank you, alle, for the report. And I love the internet and youtube, because when you are in an event it's totally worth it, but you tend to not see everything and remember everything because it's all so overwhelming. Later on you can watch it again and compare. :hearts:

Alle,

On tv, it sounded like the Alex contingent was pretty big... certainly y'all were clapping and wooting pretty loudly, for the sound equipment to pick up anyway. And the audience laughed quite audibly at his jokes and cute faces...

So I think you all did really well. :clapping: Wish we coulda seen our girls on camera, but I think we heard ya! :smooch:

And thank you for that first-hand report. As that is as vicariously-close as many of us will ever get, please know how much it is appreciated. :hearts: :rose:

Grace, thank you SO much for the Collider link. Just brilliant - definitely the best interview from the press day.

Highlights: "I was awesome" and the whole snake choking thing... :giggle: Loved. It.

Re the Hulu clip - sigh. Can only be streamed in the US. Grrrr.

Alle, sounds like you had a blast. :yahoo: :yahoo:
