I'm still a little gobsmacked after watching that red carpet thing last night...it was unreal. :confused2:

Alle, I think I'm permanently green with jealousy now. How fantastic for you to get your poems signed! And I loved that one pic of Alex from the back...the line of his jacket was so perfect. :melts:

Many, many months ago, when the first on-set clips and pics started to show up, there was a long discussion about J Lo's DvF bag (I think we may have covered shoes as well  ) and I remember sbj being particularly taken with it.

Well, Popsugar is running a prize giveaway and the prizes include one of those divine bags.

Here's the link: http://ow.ly/1BqXj

And Alex is adorable. Did I need to mention that?
Man, Brad cuts straight to the point... :rolling: :rolling:

Is there anything sadder than THIS guy having an empty dance card? :Mickangel:

Red

Seriously, how is that even possible?
But it's an irony. Some reviewers of BUP say it's unbelievable because how could anyone as hot as Zoe or Stan have trouble finding "the one"?
Yet someone who happens to BE just as hot as Stan IS having trouble finding HIS "the one."
And of course, Jennifer Anniston seems to be singularly bad at it too.

Sexy, adorable, pretty, clever, delightful people are looking for other people just like them. There aren't many.
Honestly, who's going to go see a movie starring 2 extremely homely people falling in love?? Forgive the shallowness, but it's true. We all want to see the perfect, pretty people struggle and find ever-lasting love on a movie screen. It's called escaping from our own lives. And I wouldn't want to escape to a film where the male romantic lead looks like James Carville or Larry King.

Just watched the repeat of the Daily 10 interview and Alex is still as lovely as ever. Hasn't changed one bit from the last 10 interviews I've re-watched. :snicker:
And PGal--yeah, I liked the line of his back also. Uh-huh. Yeah, we're talking about the jacket, of course we are.

:giggle:
Do you know I just watched a movie with James Carville in it?

Well, it also had Brad Pitt... but damn if James Carville wasn't in it! I looked desperately for Mary too, but wouldn't ya know, they cast a pretty woman as Carville's movie-wife...

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes. And I totally understand the jealousy. Heck, I'm kinda jealous of me, too! :giggle: Seriously, though, this has been a wonderful, whirlwind week and I've enjoyed every moment of it. It's kinda hard to go back to work and just be... normal, y'know?! But I'm doing my best to deal with the return to reality. And tomorrow night my girlfriends from work are gonna take me to the movie for opening night (shhh, I'm not telling them I saw the screener...).

Fleur, I'm sorry to tell you that I wasn't close enough to Alex to smell him either time I spoke with him, but I did talk to a woman about that very subject while I was waiting at the red carpet yesterday. She's the blonde in the Pop Candy vid (after the Kimmel taping) who didn't have a pen, and whose friend kept being UNABLE to shoot the picture of Alex. (Wasn't he amazingly patient about that??) Anyway, she said he smelled wonderful--like some kind of nice, clean-scented cologne. She got to stand cheek to cheek with him (for what seemed like hours) while her friend kept NOT taking pictures. I felt sorry for her, since even after all that, the picture did not come out. But Alex signed an autograph for her yesterday (she said, "I've got a pen today!" and he laughed) so she was on cloud 9 like the rest of us.

I actually WAS talking about the line of his jacket...because I'm above all that. Queen of the "Alex is talented, too!" club, remember. :mdrama:

I had absolutely no intention of mentioning how heart-stoppingly gorgeous he was in that suit... :teeth:

Ladies, we shall soon see just how very talented the Man is... less than 24 hours now. :hyper2:

Unless you are Alle, who has already seen the movie AND the Man, written a fantastic retrospective of the encounters, and who remains beloved, in spite of our jealousy...

And unless you are our equally beloved European and Aussie girls... who still have a b!tch of a wait. :comfort2:

I'm going at 1:10 EST. Hey Mod Ladies...a question for y'all before I meet Fleur in the Random thread...
Will there be a spoilers thread in which to discuss BUP, so that US citizens who don't get to it right away won't be spoiled and so that not-US citizens can preserve the script's anonymity should they choose???

Off to be random...

GAH! I have to wait until 7:40 tomorrow! Unfortunately, my boss didn't buy my "I need the day off so I can be the first one in line to get tickets to go see Alex in The Back-Up Plan" excuse for the day off.
