There's nothing more attractive than a man that wears his clothes well, no matter what he's got on. Alex almost always wears his clothes well.
And I agree with Lucky - that long, lanky body has got to be a dream to drape clothes over, for a designer.

OK, since we're on the topic of Alex and clothes, I have what may be a really stupid question, but it's been bugging me all day.
Normally at big Hollywood gatherings (Oscars, Emmys and the like) the women wear designer gowns, jewelry and accessories that they don't own, but 'borrow' as much to show themselves off as to provide free advertising for the designer. When Alex was interviewed on the red carpet by the internet chick, the actress she was interviewing (Snookie?) asked Alex which designer he was wearing, and he did the same to her.
I assumed he owns the suit, that the actors don't do the same deal the actresses do.
Anybody know for certain?

I don't think the suits are quite as expensive as the ladies' gowns can be, Dark.
So he may have bought the suit, or the movie studio may have bought the suit, or if Jil Sander has a brain, she gave him the suit. But I'm guessing he owns it now. We'll likely know eventually, as he deconstructs it and begins wearing elements of it with his Chucks, his scarves, and his tee shirts...
Tho I live on the East Coast, always have, and have never so much as toured Universal Studios when we visit LA... so what the he!! do I know?

While I love seeing Alex from any angle, the handlers are just hystericalwpgrace wrote:Oh! And voila!

Yes, I was told that she's Alex's assistant. I think she's the same one who steered him toward us at the Whiteout premiere, but I can't swear to that...

I noticed toward the end of the video of autograph signing after the Jimmy Kimmel show (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jM-p0Ij450), Alex looked for the assistant and then signaled by wiggling his left hand. She moved up toward him as if to say "Hey, Everyone, Alex has to go". (Takes place at 4:00-4:10 of the video)

*grumbles* I wanna be his assistant. I would dress way better. No white shawls ever and I would let all of you get as close to him as you'd want!
It's nice here in my little make-believe world.

It's a tough job, I'm sure she'd
have us believe, and someone has to do it... lucky lucky lucky lucky white-shawled somebody... tho she really shoulda worn a different color shawl... I mean, really.

And I will have to go watch the Kimmel vid again, to see said signalling.r1015bill wrote:I noticed toward the end of the video of autograph signing after the Jimmy Kimmel show (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jM-p0Ij450), Alex looked for the assistant and then signaled by wiggling his left hand. ETA: Fleur, I see you, too, took issue with the shawl...

Soooooo...basically, he hired his mother. Her gig seemed to consist of hovering near him at all times and handing him face wipies when he needed one, or removing lint from his shoulder when necessary.

That shawl looked like something my grandma would wear...but she gets to brush lint off the lapels of his jacket. LOL, I'd wear a thousand white shawls if I got to brush lint off the lapels of Alex's jacket. It's a tough job, I'm sure she'd have us believe, and someone has to do it... lucky lucky lucky lucky white-shawled somebody... tho she really shoulda worn a different color shawl... Hey--maybe that darn white shawl is what's CAUSING the lint on Alex's jacket. (ooh--she's keeping herself employed! AND keeping on getting to brush lint off him! Smart girl!!)

Only we could fill half a page with comments about white shawls!
