Keeping the parents in would have been nice to round out his character but I could buy his lifestyle. I bought that he worked on his parents' farm and probably sold the cheese in the city on the weekend or something. I also accept that he could sell a lot of pretty much anything at all! I know I'd buy anything he was selling! So I didn't question the cost of night school all that much either.
I make no statement about how well Stan is doing any of the activities. I too would buy anything he offered. :thud: I'm only confused about how he has time to do it all.

Clearly, I'm going to have to go see it again. (Darn! :snicker: ) I thought he said that his parents had moved to Arizona so he was running the farm and making the cheese which is a full time job in itself. Yet he seemed to have a nearly full life in the city too.

I know it's a romcom so why I'm expecting a realistic portrayal of one human's abilities (even if it is Alex) is beyond me.

Oh, the available time for it all. Well, they did show several workers on the farm and he also had a helper working with him in the city so he doesn't do it all himself. Clearly, he's a busy guy though! :snicker:

So I just got back from seeing BUP a second time. This time, I went with four of my friends. None of them knew who Alex was outside of "that guy Jen's always talking about".

All four of them LOVED it. I spent more time laughing at the friend I was sitting next to than the movie.

It was fun to watch the movie through objective eyes - they all were impressed by Alex (well, one friend was impressed more by his chest). I actually found it funnier the second time around, because I wasn't completely gobsmacked by Alex. :melts:

The theatre must have been full of Alex fans, because during that scene where Stan throws Zoe's pillow out the window, then pulls off his shirt, the WHOLE THEATRE went "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh". :teeth:

So, went to see it tonite with Mr. Grace annnnnnnd... Petite Grace decided to come with! It was realllly fun. We had about 35 people in our theater tonite. Mostly couples. They all laughed uproariously! It was the most invested audience I have seen it with (this was my fourth time... shhhhhhhhh!!!).

Mr. Grace loved it and laughed A LOT. Petite Grace giggled a lot. Was embarrassed in the cheese barn. Good.

AND ALLE!!! Guess what! They have the poster out again... and OUT FRONT this time!!! :woohoo:

That happened with me too, Pgal... I actually noticed more of the movie the second time around. First time around, in all honesty, I didn't even care.

Btw, by the 4th time, Alex had gotten even more talented. He's really good in this movie. :cloud9:

This is a lovely little feature - with clips and interviews from when they were all in London for the premiere:

You are a true fangirl, sweetie  The second time around for me I noticed more of the details that sailed over my head the first time. As P'Gal says, being gobsmacked does tend to keep you from noticing the little things..
