Harry (in the pic above) is the only surviving character from the first series. There have been a number of cast rotations since then - they are blessed with the "it's a dangerous business" excuse to bump off characters when the actors move on.

And just by the bye, 6-9 episodes is the standard series length for most dramas here. I think this series of Spooks (series 9) is scheduled for 8 episodes.

The BBC has updated the text on the programme page for Spooks - but they still have the old graphics and images. Hopefully they'll get to this soon!
