Blood of the Lily - Uprooted

This is a little "vignette video" for Lilith's story "Blood of the Lily." It primarily covers the chapters "Revelations", "Avenging Angel" and "Uprooted" -- and it contains MAJOR SPOILERS for "Blood of the Lily"! If you haven't read this story, but plan to read it, I would definitely recommend NOT watching this video. Or, if you're reading the story and haven't gotten to "Revelations" yet -- you DON'T want to watch the video till you get there.

If you're not familiar with the story but would like to watch the video anyway, I'll put a small synopsis under a spoiler tag:
Spoiler:
The ancient vampire Gabriel has become a friend and mentor to Mick. But Mick has just discovered some of Gabriel's darker secrets, and has learned that Gabriel has a long historical involvement with the St. John family, which has been kept secret from him. Nothing about Mick's human past is quite what he thought it was. He's completely uprooted and adrift, stunned by what he has learned. Only Beth's voice can bring him back from the edge, back into a hopeful dream for the future.

Shadow, this vid is amazing! Wow, I´m speechless. You have such a talent. The song fits perfect and how you put the scenes together of these different movies and the banners is just incredible. :hug: :flowers: :thumbs:

Wonderful, Shadow, strong and sensitive just like the story itself...the song amazing and the editing...I might say I am at a loss, but I am anything but... :heart:

Shadow thank you so much for bringing the story to life with your videos. I know there is a lot of work to put them together but I hope there will be more in the future.

I have a bit more time now and just watched your video again. I cannot even imagine how many hours you devoted to finding just the right clips, art work and screen shots ... then combined them in such a way with the music. It blows me away. Especially when this is not a video "simply" combining ML clips, this is much more far-reaching. Amazing! Such a gift you have!! Brava! :clapping: :notworthy: :thanks2:

I'm totally overwhelmed! The video is so wonderful and a real artwork! You're such a talent, Shadow! It all fits to the chapters so greatly. It really looks as if Gabriel and Mick were in the same room and talking to each other in the beginning and all these scenes from differnt films... they fit so well! Must have been such a hard work to create this but I'm so happy you did this and let us enjoy it. Feel hugged! :hug:

And now I go back writing. Somehow I feel suddenly soooo motivated and inspired! :type:

Oh thanks, Cleo! I'm so glad you like how it turned out. (Hopefully there are not typos in the German version . . . ;) thanks so much for helping with that.) And it was so wonderful to be able to put your banner into the vid - it made it so much better!

It was great to get a chance to use that song, too -- I can't see that it would ever work for, say, Mick and Beth. :laugh:

Don't know if I could do these vids without the clips from the pilot episode, really. (Whew! Thank goodness that episode finally surfaced!)

Somehow I expect there will indeed be more in the future! I wasn't at all expecting to make this one; I was planning to wait till I knew the whole story of Blood of the Lily before trying a video for it. But then Lilith wrote those three chapters . . . .
