None. In my mind, there WAS no favor. Josef would have done this anyway -- to protect MIck and to protect the vampire nation.

Love the expressiveness on Josef's face when he is 'figuring the angles' as Beth talks to him here.

Leaves you with the impression that he knows much more than he is telling...

Not to mention, he is ethereally beautiful in that scene.

The idea that Josef would do it for Beth freely is appealing. I thought he would make it more of a quid pro quo arrangement.

I think that Josef enjoys having a secret with Beth. Josef does enjoy having an advantage, and this would give him a bit of an advantage over Beth. But I don't think he would insist that she "pay him back" for it. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he teased her about it.

I think, if anything, Josef's admiration for Beth grew with this request. He finally saw her as someone with Mick's best interest at heart, someone willing to do anything to protect him. Sure, she shot LeeJay, but that was more clear cut. This gesture revealed a kindred spirit in terms of caring deeply about Mick.

Well, Josef is certainly going to appreciate that ruthless practicality. What I love there is that he doesn't let Beth lie to herself and think he's going to go off and pay Foster to go away.
