Connected: A Drabble (G)

Characters: Mick, Beth

This drabble takes place sometime before Mick and Beth's re-meeting...lol




The streets were lonely, dark. Yet she did not fear. Like always, he was there beside her. Not in form, but in spirit…a haunting presence. His face, once all she knew, had faded with her childhood memories. It had happened so slowly…she hadn’t even realized.

Had she only imagined him? No, never.

She remembered his voice, gentle and caressing, and the feeling of his strong arms pressed against her skin. Nothing had ever been more real.
While only a child, she had given him her heart, connecting them forever. And he carried it still…within the dark mystery shrouding his face.
