Re: Exclusive: 'Moonlight' vamp Alex O'Loughlin returns to CBS
The 'news' type shows say that serial killers look normal, natural, like everybody else. Well thats a stretch for Alex but I bet they don't use the scruffy look. I bet its the charming, boy look.

I thought of that as a possibility ala Ted Bundy. The charming, good looking killer that easily lures his victims.

And here's Buddy TV's take. Note the "at least one episode"...

And did you notice the link on that page to an article talking about a possible CM spin-off? The article was from July 2008 and mentioned this - "Whatever they decide on, the idea would likely be introduced during a special episode of Criminal Minds set to air later this coming season."....most intriguing isn't it?redwinter101 wrote:And here's Buddy TV's take. Beautiful tag courtesy of SirenSong.

That's an interesting idea but I'm confused as to how the spin off would work in relation to Alex if he is playing a serial killerMoonMad wrote:And did you notice the link on that page to an article talking about a possible CM spin-off? I guess we'd have to wait until the show aired to find out

At least one episode??!!
Am doing the happy dance yet again!
And this seems to fall in line with the idea for a serial killer/crime solver series that I heard about months ago.
Dare I hope?

Lisa, I don't want to squish your hope, and this is purely based on my (occasionally faulty) memory, but I think you're thinking of the NCIS spin-off that had a character who was supposed to have some kind of special empathy with serial killers (for reasons that I can't remember).
So it was totally unconnected with CM.
If the CM episode with Alex does lead to a spin-off, then I would imagine it would be based around those who solve the crime rather than the serial killer character.
The reason I was excited about "more than one episode" is that CM has previously had a serial killer who was a recurring character, a nemesis if you will, because it took the team so long to catch him.

Yeah, I know it was NCIS, but I thought that the network with a fondness for abbreviations might be prone to shifting ideas to other shows of theirs!redwinter101 wrote:Lisa, I don't want to squish your hope, and this is purely based on my (occasionally faulty) memory, but I think you're thinking of the NCIS spin-off that had a character who was supposed to have some kind of special empathy with serial killers (for reasons that I can't remember).

I cannot recall the serial killer premise either--I don't know if he was a serial killer masquerading as a detective solving other serial crimes, or someone who led that life in the past and is now using his skills to his advantage to help others.
My mind is as faulty as yours. There is only so much room in there for new info, and at the present time, it seems to be full of Alex---go figure.

Okay, please, please explain to me how to get those alerts. I was just going to post that very question. Will you then be alerted any time his name comes up somewhere? And remember, simple computer language for the simple computer gal.darlingcat wrote:The longer the betterredwinter101 wrote:

Uh yeah, we have!
I did the google alert thingy (like my advanced tech talk?).
Does anything pop up to say that it worked, or will I just have to wait until I receive something to know that I did it correctly?
It was awfully simple, even for me!
