Just read this again and had the same reaction as the last time I read it.

Jason Dohring did such a fabulous job of playing Josef as an enigma. Sometimes you just couldn't tell if he was being truthful or dishing out a load of....

Well, you know. It could be that Josef just had a prior committment and was playing with Beth. Then, it is equally plausible that everything he said to her was absolutely true! As they had no one older and more knowledgeable than Josef about the rules of the world, you could never be entirely sure.

One way or another, this was wonderful!

Oh, man! If Josef really is telling the truth, this party would have been a disaster! Hopefully, he did call Guillermo and Logan and let them know about this. They need to spread the word to the rest of the vampire community.

How disappointing for Beth. She even had True Blood drinks! Maybe she can use them at her next party.

Josef is a well of knowledge that is centuries deep. I get the impression that he is also a spinner of wild stories that has had a LOT of practice.

Sometimes its hard to tell which, but Beth is wise to be safe rather than sorry here.

And here Beth just wanted to host her first party with Mick. I'm sure she felt bad she didn't know she was putting other vamps in danger. OTOH, I thought Josef was head of the LA vamps and he should have some continuing education classes or something.

It has been way too long since I read this. I love how Josef lays it all out for Beth. So matter of fact. Of course the ghosts are jealous of the vampires, and rat them out to the werewolves. It's perfectly logical!

I still feel sorry for Beth, though. How could she know her party would be a recipe for disaster?!

I love Josef's story about the ghosts and the werewolves. It's so nutty it might well be true! Well, the Halloween party may end up being a bust, but at least there is always Thanksgiving!
