I didn't realize you could do that. I always thought they would have to damage your original tooth to some degree to add them on. I'm used to getting crowns and having them pretty much destroy the tooth to do it.

Gotta love that man! We've been looking at those pix for days now, dissecting everything from his beard to his teeth, and he surprises us with the quirky socks!!

Had to add my two cents. Alex is just a beautiful man no matter what! (I also posted this at H50F).

Thanks for these WONDERFUL photos!

Just a comment about his teeth… I, too, think that the more "natural" look is wonderful. If you look closely at the picture that shows him smiling with his upper gum showing, you can see that his front left central incisor is pushed up and a little to his left. That's why it appears shorter than his right central incisor. He probably fell and hit his mouth on something and pushed the tooth up. His right central incisor does have a slight chip in it, again, probably from the same accident. I believe that he (as McGarrett) even mentioned in the one episode of H50 that he had chipped his tooth when he was hit by the car in front of the embassy.

If you recall, Alex had (extensive) dental work after the filming of The Back Up Plan and before the press junkets that promoted it. Those "teeth" (veneers) were quite a bit different from what we are seeing today, different color, shape, etc. My guess (and I emphasize guess) is that he was not happy with them and he has had a second procedure since with replacements to make them appear more natural. Unfortunately you cannot uncover the original teeth when you have had veneers. The original teeth are ground down and the veneers are placed over them.

I have to add here that his girlfriend's father is a dentist. Perhaps he had some input as to the "new and improved" smile???

Love that Alex looks so healthy, happy and natural here!

(PS I was at the premier of TBUP in LA and saw the original veneers up close and personal and I can guarantee that these are not the same ones. Many people make the mistake in choosing veneers that are too white and too big, the so-called Hollywood smile. Most dentists urge their patients to pick something closer to their real teeth.)

Thanks for the clarification, lynn. I knew his teeth were different and it was driving me CRAZY trying to figure it out.

And I just plain love any pics of Alex seated. He sits SO well. :cloud9:
