From Alex's description at the Paley I don't think it was one of his favorite shoots. Can't remember if he said exactly how long he was in there, but it sounded like many hours -- he described how his new-ish jeans began to leach dye into the water and how a cameraman took off his shoes and socks and stood barefoot in the tub by his head for some of the shots. And near the end of the shoot, after all that, the director had him put his head all the way under the water. He said he could smell nothing but cameraman-foot for quite a while after that . . .

Wow I'm so glad you noticed that! I stared at what I thought was every detail of that picture of a long time, and never saw the ring hiding out under there.
In the wonderful photo-background, I'm not sure who the woman is in the three-tiered necklace.
but getting a look at the side design I do believe that is Mick's ring being as I have one myself and see it every day

Yes, of course it is -- and from OOTP, no less. I guess it's either the angle of the shot that made her look different to me, or possibly a severe lack of sleep . . .
