Uh, no. Scruffy, full beard, clean shaven or whatever they call the diabolical look, he's gorgeous. But somehow, just the mustache looks weird.

P'Gal posted a better description, and I couldn't agree more.

He looks like a lounge lizard with the mustache. But...he also looks happy and healthy, so it's all good.

The hiatus beard is looking better and better in retrospect. This 'stache is tied with my all time least favorite: the goatee. (shudder)

See, I thought the goatee would be great--if he were playing, oh, say, Aramis or Athos in a 3 Musketeers remake. It looked very dashing. Just not contemporary.

Maybe I didn't see the picture correctly, but does anyone know if Alex still had the beard when they did the blessing or whatever it is called for the new season? I thought I saw a picture and he did, but I might be wrong. I can't tell you how much I hate that beard.

Yes, he did have the beard at the blessing ceremony. Apparently it's become a vacation tradition for him...and will be gone shortly!
