Was It Yesterday? PG-13 Cham Challenge #159

Post by cassysj »

I do not own anything, no copyright infringement is intended. I found an ad for a 1950's ladies cigarette I thought it was perfect for Sarah. I've posted it below.

Was it yesterday I was at Grand Central Station? I can still taste the Encore cigarette on my lips, I practically kissed it when I asked him for a light. Was it yesterday we had our first date at The Metropolitan Opera? Was it yesterday I was skating with him at Rockefeller Center under the tree? Was it yesterday I told him I knew what he was? Was it yesterday he turned me? So many yesterdays, when will it be tomorrow?

OOh, this is a bit chilling, Carol  If Sarah is conscious of what goes on around her, she would remember the happier times and wish for a release from limbo.

"Chilling" is exactly the word that popped to my mind yes! Wow, what a thought to think she might be aware... even if only at times. In a way it's a hopeful thought, and heartening that she would remember the good times yes...

I think this story is going to haunt me for a long time, in a good way of course! :rose:

I always wondered if Sarah had any awareness of what was going on around her and how time was passing her by. This is an amazing look at what she might have been thinking! Caught in an eternal now, always wondering when it will be tomorrow. It's really terribly sad ..... :Mickangel:

Thank you for reading and commenting. I like to think that Sarah has no idea of how much time has passed but I'd hate to think of Josef speaking to her and there being no awareness. If she is always in this...fog she won't be hopeless and maybe someday she can wake up.
