I think you're right Alle. The noir style got changed later on to Mick using "his teeth and bare hands" to scare the crap or a confection out of humans and Vamps. In FTP our Human Mick needed some weaponry to go after a Vamp. I bet Human Mick carried his gun for extra protection instead of leaving it in his desk drawer. Ya know with not being able to detect the baddies with his sexy sniffing anymore.
