I have read the graphic novel Whiteout; believe it or not I found it at my public library!
Alex's character is a rough Aussie pilot named Hayden and is NOT the killer though the is a semi-bad guy.
No spoilers... He is drawn with a beard and glasses; hope they kept the beard for the movie.
His part is pretty good in the book but so is every other part, no really major characters.
No idea how they adopted it for the movie and Kate (what's her name) is not on my favorite actros list.

Thanks for the summary, dc! So are you saying that Alex's role is about as big as everyone else's?

I'm also hoping that the general level of promotion for this episode will be high, given May sweeps. New pics. Need new pics. Actual talking interviews, with words and everything, would just be the icing on the rather nicely put together cake.

Yes but a talking interview NOT on the radio... talking moving visible Alex...

And I dunno... his peeps and/or CBS didn't really get him on anything much with ML... once on Ferguson and once on that tvGuide show... and on local news... Letterman... I want Letterman... lots of people watch him... and they advertise Letterman alot so his name would be heard too...

I guess we'll see...

Grateful to Alex for Mick, Andy, and McG. :)

In the book at least all characters, except the main one Carrie, are just about equally important.
But I don't know how it was adapted for the movie.

IMO, if Alex get a lot of media and press on this episode, won't you think CBS has plans for this guy? We need to watch how much CBS promotes this show, that might give us a clue on his future with CBS.[

My understanding, from the interview with La Kate that I read, is that Gabriel Macht is the male lead. So however the original posits the characters, the movie has a male lead and the female as the main lead.

And the male lead is not our guy. I imagine the size of his part is in part whatever they left in... I know we've read about the thing being edited and re edited... so we'll see... if they ever release it at all that is...

Well I will be at the theater the first day of the movie's release, no matter what!
But I anticipate by that time we will be getting ready for Alex's new show
