I somehow hadn't read this one before! This is such an adorable story. Loved the way Beth lingered over the "Baby's first Christmas" ornament while watching BJ decorate the other side of the tree. And BJ is so good at getting her parents to think back on their pasts and tell their stories, while still being very much a real teenager. (Suggesting that Mick's tree must have looked stupid with only one ornament, for instance!) It would have been so fun to see Mick's expression on screen when Beth gave him that gift bag. I liked so much Mick's plan of keeping two ornaments on a little tree forever, if he never saw Beth again, to remember what a good team they were. But I like even more that he got to throw that plan out the window by sharing his life with Beth!
