I can't tell you all how happy I am that this is coming together. I just love this painting. When I first toyed with the idea of contacting Alex, I hesitated for a bit, but then I thought "what have I got to lose?" I'm so glad it all worked out.

Woo hoo!!
I just heard from Alex and he says the print is almost done.
The final size including border will be about 20x30" and the price will be $199.
This is going to be a limited edition of (probably) 40 prints, all signed and numbered. He's going to put an order page up on his website and will let me know when it's ready.

And just for fun, here's a picture of Alex next to his painting "The Surrender" taken at the Jonathan Levine Gallery opening in New York City in 2008...

Wow! I must say that that is one strange painting!
But I bet you could theorize and speculate as to its meaning for hours, hell days on end!

I'll have to give some thought as to how I can "secret away" $200 ... those lottery tickets just aren't coming through the way I had hoped!

I was afraid he wouldn't get enough requests. I didn't know how many he felt he needed to make it worth his while.

I was just looking at Mr. Gross' web site. It looks like you can order the print now. The cool thing is that he's calling it "MOONLIGHT" and points out that it was used in Josef's office on the TV show. How nice! Good work, Lilly!
