PG 13
The Month, the Day, the Hour
=========================================
How old am I?
Things like this, a date, shouldn’t unnerve me.
Who holds the power in this relationship?
What did I pay for and what did I loose?
Where should I have brokered the deal?
Why didn’t it work out as I had planned, surely I had never tried it like that before. I thought it would fresh, totally accepted. Only now there is some echo bouncing around in my brain. The lack of a human heartbeat makes the noise in my brain even louder, ruder, cruder and unrelenting. More eternally painful.
So, I’m going to put away the wedding veil and the dried boutonnière you wore tonight so long ago. Your blood has dried deep brown on the dried flower, as brown as my eyes when I look in the mirror to see my regret and my pain.
Mick, my forever love, you didn’t understand me. I’m so sorry.

Ah! So sad! But at some point she must have been sad...

Such a complex relationship. You brought it out well. Good job. The reader can feel the pain.

Coraline is sad and has regrets, but she still doesn't understand where she went wrong. Truly tragic.
You use so few words to make a whole world come alive. I can see her standing there and thinking about their wedding night. Wonderful writing.
