wpgrace wrote:Oh Pgal... I have a similar story!!

I bought 4 copies... buying for a couple other peeps... and the guy (an Indian family runs the newsstand near my house) says, "you bought 4 tv guides! Just how many tv's DO you have in your house?" And then he laughed like he thought he was clever.

So I picked one of the mags up, opened it to Alex's pic and turned it to him and answered, "one." Then I just walked out with my purchases...

LOL, Lisa...I've yet to figure out why checkers/clerks/cashiers find it necessary to make comments on purchases.

My son wondered why I was buying TV Guide (we never have it in the house) and my man said "It probably has a picture of that Mick guy in it".

I told him if he touched it, he'd be digging through the recycling bin again like he did the last time he tossed a TV Guide with Alex in it in there.

Hey P... do you know an old country music song by Jessie Coulter called "I'm not Lisa"?? :giggle:

And I hid mine... no way I'm letting anybody mess up that picture!!!!!

I forgot to pick it up last Friday when I went food shopping after work (brain dead by that time)....but when I do bring it home, it will go into hiding somewhere.....my other half thought I was nuts when the series was on the air, then even crazier when the DVDs showed up. Recently, my video collection has grown to include Feed, Oyster Farmer, The Invisible and The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant.....

If only he knew what the 'short stories' I'm writing were about!!!!

Oh, I know. I still hated it. Along with that WIldfire song about a horse or something or another.

Wow. I think I have ventured really far off-topic even for me!! Hmmm, how can I possibly rectify the situation?

Maybe a little of this: Go Alex on the Big Wheel!

Sorry, that's all I had on such short notice....

Do we know why it's called the Big Wheel yet? Have we gotten spoilers that explain the cryptic title? Or is it obvious to all but me... which is possible... :blushing:
