Just stopping by to stare at that pic again. *sigh* I love the sheer happiness on their faces and how their noses are pressed together...they can't get close enough! It's also telling I think of the chemistry and level of comfort Alex and Shannyn had with each other to pull that off and make it look so real.

Aw... and it's a homecoming... she's truly not dead... nor any longer undead, so double the fascination... but they were sweet together for that minute there before the knock on the door....

It WAS sheer joy on their faces, Sister... loved that!

The other thing that I loved about that scene was when the final realization hit, Mick finally knew for certain that it was Cora, and Cora no longer had to pretend to be anyone else, she never turned it accusatory. Know what i mean? Never at any point in their reunion did she berate him for staking her and leaving her to burn. It's like she already understood and there was no need for apologies or explanations between the two.

Now....back to appreciating the wet Mick hotness and lamenting the lack of any "real" action. *sigh* What a missed opportunity.

I paid close attention to this scene a while back while editing one of my vids and what I noticed was Mick seemed to go through quite a few emotions in that one scene alone. There was passion and attraction as he walked toward the shower then there was sheer relief when he saw her tattoo and had the confirmation he wanted that it was Coraline and then the joy on his face that he hadn't killed her.

That ability to act with his face is certainly his trademark... and to express many and complicated emotions... you are right.

And I so agree with SirenSong that she NEVER threw that whole burning her alive thing back at him... except I think for once.

In The Ringer, when he comes to take the fingerprints from her door and they start looking at the fire pics on the computer again... and she starts realllllllly dwelling on how it hurts to burn that way... she describes in detail what it feels like... and she doesn't use the conditional tense... "It would be horrific" ... oh no... She uses present declarative... "It's horrific!" Because she knows...

I always kinda wondered if he didn't pretty much know from there... but just couldn't put it together with the human thing... And also I figure that whole exercise in Cora and Mottola burning the woman was her statement to Mick... I don't appreciate you burning me alive. But then she's done. Over /done with/ gone... They meet, meet again, whatever, in the shower and she's over it. She's had her payback and now she's just ready for the homecoming...

When I saw Mick's face in the shower.....I wanted to cry that he was "denied"...The fact that AOL can act so thoroughly thru so many emotions without uttering a word is magical...that Just made Mick's emotions dance thru me.
