CBS reaches out to Alex's fans?

Caught this on myspace..thoughts?

CBS is reaching out to Alex's fan sites and asking them if they have any questions in regards to Alex's up coming role in The Back Up Plan to email them at the following address and you will surely get a reply!!

This is very exciting for all of us Alex's fans , I guess there trying to clean up bad blood!!! So let's support Alex as we always do and flood there email box!! Email today!!

Nothing official, as far as I know Red. Just saw this posted on a myspace bulletin..thought we could get our resident "sleuths" to check into it..

Thanks, jims. I sent my email. I told them how, with today's economy, I wouldn't pay the price to see just anything in the movies. For Alex, I would.

My only question here would be why CBS would be interested in TBUP? Is it a CBS sponsored film? Which studio will be representing it, do we know?

Back-Up Plan is being made by CBS's new film division.

I have no idea how much harm (if any) was done by previous campaigns to "flood CBS" but this makes me really wary until I know the source. Anyone with any actual information on this, please post.

Sorry if I wasn't clear - it IS a CBS film. They have a new film division and this is the second feature going into production. That is a matter of record.

CBS Films doesn't have its own website and there is nothing about this email or request for questions on their Twitter.

Anyone else got any source info?

The only thing I can find that leads to that email address is a blogspot page for TR that someone has set up.

Nothing on CBS.com. CBS doesn't have a MySpace page as far as I can find. Nothing on any CBS source.

I'll be interested to see what happens to the emails you've sent - but I have to say this reeks of a hoax to me. I'd be delighted to be proved wrong (and I just hope there's no viruses/malware involved).

After last year's debacle, I would be a little leery of sending out emails to an unverified email address which has not been verified by CBS or CBS Films itself. Sorry, but I don't think it would be a good idea to do this at this time unless we verify the information.
