I just checked the CBS press site....

The Presidential Address will air from 8-9PM ET followed by Criminal Minds and then CSI:NY. So thankfully (!!) no schedule change for our guy's episode!!!



For those DVR'ing....I'd maybe add some minutes afterward or before just in case the episode doesn't start directly at 9PM. Just a thought.

As an aside, THR is reporting that Fox has rejected the request for airtime.

I thought I'd read that as of yet, a network hasn't rejected a presidential request for airtime, but I don't know. I'm still surprised that they denied it, while in his honeymoon period especially.

You could be right, mwj. For some reason, I have it in my head that Fox backed out a couple of times on W's press conferences. But I could be wrong. I know the major 3 would never consider it.

Supposedly the other 3 networks are quietly watching to see how Fox does in viewer numbers. If they fare well, the others may follow suit in future situations (of course not for major instances like the State of the Union address for example).

What will be interesting is to see how accessible the White House is to reporters from any major netwrk that chooses NOT to air a Presidential broadcast. It might be a bit like biting the hand that feeds you....news wise.

A shame indeed. I have no idea how much it would cost to reloop that promo, but I'm guessing money would be a factor in fixing it. I would imagine too, that not enough people even know how it's supposed to be pronounced to matter too much. At least they spelled it right.
