Joel pro'ly wants to keep all of his options (including Jason's VM) which is good all around. Joel went through some bumps with his outrageously expensive "Sherlock Holmes" last Christmas and with the economic meltdown and cost cutting everywhere, producers have to take a more careful look at their projects. But it's good ML is still on Joel's plate as of December. And he pro'ly still calls Mel Gibson about Lethal Weapon as Mel could use some money for his legal fees for his divorce lawyers right about now.

Back to Alex, guess it must've been bittersweet for him to relive the experience with each interviewer.

Thanks Jade! WTH is up with JS? This one made me a little . Interesting that "CBS all but officially concedes was a mistake" re: cancellation. Of course I agree, but I haven't read anything to indicate that, so I would assume it's word-of-mouth?

I think it's the writer's opinion that CBS concedes. It pains me to say that from a business standpoint, ML didn't have the numbers to justify the costs to stay on air. But then again, if CBS had given ML as much promo as what the CM episode is getting now, then it would be a different story.
