1. irrationally extreme in opinion or practice: a rabid isolationist; a rabid baseball fan.
2. furious or raging; violently intense: a rabid hunger.
What does it have to do with us?
My dictionary gave fanatical as the second choice.darlingcat wrote:Here is the official definition of rabid

Thank you for the definition. I always wondered what that word means, (English is not my first language) but I had an odd feeling it's not a "nice" word!darlingcat wrote:Here is the official definition of rabid

No offense, but considering that tvbythenumbers does nothing but rely on OTHER people to supply them info so they can post it on their site, I don't think they have room to talk. If they were the ones out there with actual sources, then that would be a different story, but they're not. And frankly, a few of the writers there have major attitudes. So much for objective journalism, huh?VAsusieQ18 wrote:I'm still trying to stay a bit grounded. Nikki's sources are usually considered very reliable, but TVbytheNumbers has been slamming her a bit for the past week or so, saying her "sources" were dead wrong on several supposed pilots that NBC was going to pick up. She's also taken some heat for reporting that Chuck's fate was to have been decided earlier this week.
So until I hear it from more than one reliable source, I'm still going to try and stay positive, yet realistic!
Yeah, right! Like thats going to happen!
Fanatical---no, we do not display irrational zeal----it is very rational; I mean, just look at the guy!jmc wrote: Fanatical is defined as possessed or driven by excessive or irrational zeal.
Zeal is defined as enthusiastic and diligent devotion in pursuit of a cause, ideal or goal; ardor; fervor.
It takes a while but I finally found something palatable.
