I found this interesting:

Grey's" (5.3 rating/14 share in 18-49, 15.3 million viewers overall) not only continued its winning streak over "CSI" (3.5/9, 14.6 million) in the 18-49 demo, it leapt past its timeslot rival in overall viewers for the first time in this year's May sweeps. "Grey's" had nearly the same amount of male 18-49 viewers as "CSI" but nearly 85% more female 18-49 viewers.

Granted, last night's episode of "Grey's Anatomy" promised a wedding so of course women would tune in to view it. But 85% more female viewers and almost the same number of male viewers as "CSI"? And "Grey'"s 18-49 demo was 5.3 vs. "CSI's" 3.5? These statistics tell me more than anything else that CSI is beginning to lose its mojo. The stars are ageing rapidly; the stories are the same week in and week out, and William Petersen's departure was a huge loss to that show. CBS needs to bring fresh young blood into the schedule (like "Three Rivers") and nurture those shows which show promise if they don't want viewers to do an exodus.

Amy, a woman of taste I can tell!
Shiraz is a speciality of ours, and you will find no finer examples than the Hunter Valley, NSW.
I do happen to live here.
But that has absolutely nothing to do with it!
Hunter Valley Shiraz!! :redwine:

Well, that is interesting Amy. So Grey's isn't losing it's popularity yet? I'm actually surprised. I thought it jumped the shark with the Izzy storyline. I don't watch it myself, but from what I'd read I thought it may be on the way out. I wonder if the gloss going off CSI is enough to get it cancelled to make way for a new possible hit? Time will tell, but I doubt it this year. Maybe next.

Actually Grey's is down quite a bit too. It's just that CSI is worse off than it is. All of the formally big viewership shows are suffering. I think the only show that probably went UP in viewership this year is NCIS which I think has reached a series high. I can't think of any other show that has upped its viewership or demo numbers.

Hmmm... I think the Mentalist found all the lost viewers...

I no longer watch Greys and haven't watched a CSI in years... I don't stick with shows for the long haul... they begin to bore me... I wonder if I am usual or unusual...

I promise if they'll pick up 3R, I WILL stick with it... as long as Alex is still on it, that is...

I have to agree with you, AussieJo, about the Australian Shiraz wine. My son is an assistant buyer at Costco's regional headquarters in Virginia. They rotate responsibilities so all buyers learn every department and one of his departments had been wine and beer. He loved that position. He got to go on wine tastings all over the place. Well, we had a party at work and they put me in charge of getting the food and the wine (all of which I got at Costco dirt cheap). Since I know nothing about wines, I called him for recommendations and he recommended an Australian Shiraz, among others. He said that wine (I can't remember the name of it) was one of his favorites. I bought several bottles at Costco and it was a big hit at our office party. So now every time I gift a red or bring one to a party, I call him to get the latest Australian Shiraz scoop and get whichever one he recommends. But I'll definitely be trying out the Hunter Valley in the future. As a matter of fact, I think I will call him tomorrow and get him to bring me a bottle for Mother's Day. Have to have something to celebrate with once Three Rivers gets picked up.

This updates my previous Primetime Pilot Panic: The Hot List

THREE RIVERS (CBS-Paramount/Deuce Three) is looking likely to be the medical drama Les wants more so than main competitor Miami Trauma. CBS liked what they're seeing. And the network really likes star Alex O'Loughlin. Not only might he bring his small but rabid Moonlight fanbase, but he recently starred in a Criminal Minds sweeps episode. And I hear CBS Films just put him in the feature film Plan B opposite Jennifer Lopez. Insiders are betting this show with a 24 splitscreen feel will go.

Well, if you read the rest of the article, I think Les Moonves must be in heat.
:confused2: UNTITLED NCIS SPIN-OFF, THE GOOD WIFE, U.S. ATTORNEY, HOUSE RULES, WASHINGTON FIELD, BACK :confused2:

How many pilots and how many available slots, Les? I lost count.

Overdamoon, I'm not quite sure that I understand your point. As far as we know at this stage, a couple of these pilots seem to be a definite pick-up, with others still under consideration, and with no clarity yet about all the shows that will get renewed/cancelled in order to complete the fall schedule.

Please forgive if this has been posted before..I haven't gotten caught up on this thread yet..

Premise: A drama about surgeons, donors and patients at a regional transplant center in Pittsburgh.

Why we'd like to see it: Primarily, it's because "Moonlight's" Alex O'Loughlin stars, and we want to see if he has the same allure without being a vampire. The three different P.O.V.s for organ transplants is intriguing as well.

Another chance to vote, for what it's worth...

Yes for TR is ahead..but barely...54% to 46% No...
