:offtopic: I'd never seen the pictures from the 2007 upfronts or the CBS summer party. Alex looked so bashful and sweet in #65...before all the insanity happened... little did he know! :confused2:

The fascinating pics for me are nos. 23 and 24. In an instant, the body language changes, and it's Alex again. Amazing.

I noticed that too, Red... riveting isn't he? Tho it must be odd, being on set and regarding that change in person...

That may be because Nicholas Brendon (Xander in Buffy) made re-appearance as Garcia's
long-time but rarely seen boyfriend. She's something of a fan favorite and it's always nice to see the two of them together.

That got to be it, RangerCM. I stopped paying attention to CM after 4/29. Image My other guess is that the CM diehards may be turned off by the lack of screen times for the BAU team.

Did CBS run a lot of commercials for this 5/6 episode? It's a 860k bump from 13.27M. :banghead: :thunder: Image

I think it's really hard to compare ratings for a single show from week to week without looking at a wider context. The previous week was a big week for 2 other popular shows, Lost and American Idol, so there may have been a detrimental effect on CM's (and other shows at the same time) numbers. Plus what was the weekly trend overall for shows at this time slot? Did they show a similar increase or was it just CM? What about audience share and demos etc.? (And that's not a request for you to post more info - I really only have a passing interest.)

Without looking at the whole picture, we run the risk of extrapolating based on incomplete data and ending up with a wonky conclusion. The networks and ratings agencies pay number-crunchers huge amounts of money to analyse this data and they still get it wrong from time to time! I just think we need to be careful about drawing too many conclusions.

What counts is that we know that Alex did a fantastic job as Vincent and it fully showcased his talents to a wider audience. Hell, even the crew on CM said so when it was being filmed, according to Simon Mirren :clapping:

Great point, Red. Criminal Minds has done consistently well in the ratings over a sustained period of time, rarely losing much of their week-to-week audience. They ususally hang around the 13 to 14 million viewers range. They might not do as well as CBS would like in the prized demographics, but I think their consistently is a proven comodity for CBS and they are not going anywhere anytime soon. :snicker:

Thanks for the reminder Red, I had seen Alyssa's note then promptly forgot all about it. How could I forget sad, damaged Vincent given Alex's amazing performance ? :blushing: :gasp: Big note to self now on fridge :snicker:
