Wasn't there a storyline on Grey's with a surgeon who couldn't get a team together in the operating room because all the nurses and techs and assistants found out that he'd been sleeping with all of them and they each had thought they were 'the one'? Bedroom farce is fine on Scrubs because that's what they do but it seems kind of icky and soap opera-ish on a drama.MoonMad wrote:Personally, I wouldn't want it to turn into a soap either, but I hope it's not ALL about surgeries and patients. I really hope we get at least some personal stuff happening to show character growth. From reading the sides I believe we will get that. It does touch on personal issues a bit without being about the 'relationships' between the main characters. I expect it to be a nice blend of both medical story and personal. Of course, that's just the first episode. Who knows what they've got planned for the future?willing freshie wrote:jmc wrote: And, please God or Bob or Whomever, don't let TR turn into as much of a soap opera as Grey's & Private Practice. I've had 2 major surgeries and a dozen or so out-patient ones and the last thing you want to even cross your mind is who's sleeping with whom. They make enough mistakes without that distraction.
Seriously? You don't want to see Alex's fine self in a romantic situation?
Me, I hope it is at 10:00 somewhere like they are speculating because I know there is a better chance for a little sex/romance for Dr. Andy!
I have had multiple surgeries myself and, for me at least, the last thing I want to see is just surgery after surgery and only the life and death stuff. In RL, after all, hospital workers have romance, divorces, and sex just like the rest of us.
I want a little Andy-action; and I don't mean operating (at least only at the hospital. ) LOL![]()
Anyway, I thought Dr. Andy was separated and trying to get back with his wife. I see plenty of opportunities for romance there, misunderstandings, make-up sex, stops and starting over. That could be developed into a richly layered storyline if they have the time.
