You got it, sweetheart. And if the first time doesn't work, I'll be back in July.

Between the :giggle: and the :hankie: it's taken me more than an hour to read this whole thread...

Now, where to begin? :dizzy:

Firstly, I hope that Three Rivers is a huge hit. Apart from Alex, Julia Ormond is the only member of the cast I am familiar with - however, I am looking forward to the show. The whole premise of the show appears to be different from the run-of-the-mill medical dramas.

Now, if you'll please indulge me - a little Phoenix history. Moonlightaholic [singular] is my username at YT, and it seemed like a good name for a dedicated Moonlight board. I had never been involved in a fandom prior to Moonlight and knew little about the internet. I'd never heard of fan fiction before joining MLL. Still, I am a writer by trade, and to cut a long story short, when I'd only been a member of MLL for a matter of days, it was suggested to me that I write a fan fic piece - and it sounded like a hoot. (For the record, I now cringe any time I think of those early stories...)

Moving forward. I wanted to be able to hang out on a board which was specifically organized to cater for the needs of writers & readers. On top of that, I wanted a home which was just about Moonlight ... only about Moonlight ... first, last, and always. (Although I will watch any movie / TV show featuring the actors I found via Moonlight, I am not actor-centric.) The bottom line is that the board I considered "home" was shifting focus to include other vampires whom I had no knowledge of, nor interest in. Consequently, in Jan 2009, Moonlightaholics was born out of a passionate love affair with all things Moonlight. I still have many stories waiting to be told. :type: There are even more stories I want to read - when I can make the time. :reading: I've grown attached to original characters who are every bit as real to me as the canon characters ... and had the incredible honour of having my original character warmly embraced by my wonderful readers. Ridiculously talented authors - who so graciously share their hard work with all of us - have filled in the blanks in the 16 episodes, and shared their own vision of the characters' back stories. There are questions I still want answered ... even if I have to write the stories myself to get those answers.

Although I am happily anticipating Three Rivers, I'm not ready to let Moonlight go ... and I doubt I ever will be.

Realistically, I know there will come a day when the five mods :groupwave: gather around :grouphug: kiss me on the cheek :smooch: and say, "Phee, it's been a wild thrill ride ... but now it has to end. Remember to turn out the lights before you close the door for the last time..." :hankie:

But until that (dreaded) day arrives, the six of us :groupwave: :juggle: and the Moonlightaholics forum will be here. 100% Moonlight ... forever ... and proud of it. :salute:

Phoenix, I can not see a time when that scenario would happen! I believe all the mods are just as dedicated and obsessed with Moonlight as you and the rest of us are and I just can't see that happening!!!! It's too much of a beautiful thing for that to happen!!!! :cloud9:

Okay, after all the wonderful encomia posted here last night, I didn't think it could get more emotional, but Phoenix's post and those following literally brought me to tears.

Phee, it's going to be a long while before we turn the lights out around here. A long while.

And even with the lights out, the vamps can see in the dark... they're pretty hard to shake... :smooch:

That's a beautiful statement. I'm spread out on other boards myself for the same reasons.
