Here's the third part of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette's interview with Executive Producer, Carol Barbee: http://community.post-gazette.com/blogs ... three.aspx

Good news about the press tour - hopefully that will mean new interviews and pics!!!

Darkstarring...sorry I am late to your post from a couple of days ago. So many threads and so much fanfic to read. Then of course there IS RL, although I try not to pay too much attention to that. Anyway, I went to page 14 on the other thread and ...how beautiful he is. I also saw what DC posted and that hat and scarf photo I think is my fave ever. He is so devastatingly beautiful in that photo. :happysigh: But...then there that full body, hands on hips beach photo...yeah, that one. And then.....oh geez... :thud: :thud: :thud:

CBS now has a Three Rivers micro-site under their "Primetime" section, here: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/three_rivers/

It's obviously early days in its construction - but it's there.

Yep, they've been slowly filling it in and messing with it. Mostly changing and reposting the video :snicker: , but at least they finally edited out Julia Ormond's name from the show synopsis and list of actors, so progress is being made!

I've been keeping an eye on the CBS site...

The comments are most interesting... alot of Mick fans of course, many Kate and Daniel fans too... and some sense of competition between the actors, which is stupid. They're all in this boat together and will sink or swim together. And in-between the Alex or Kate or Daniel fans gushing about spending a prime-time hour with their actor-drug-of-choice, there are these very soulful comments from the transplant community.

This show is in some ways walking a bit of a tight-rope. The fans want a fabulous, sexy, exciting show highlighting their actors and getting enough ratings to run for years; the transplant community--the nurses, recipients, donors, and families-- wants an honest and true look into their experiences.

Good luck to Carol Barbee. Tho truth be told, if the ratings work, that's all CBS is gonna care about... so hoping Carol fully gets that...

Just went back to the CBS site again after not visiting there for a while. Have been following it from the beginning and reading the comments. I see what you are seeing. Some want sexy docs living it up and some want their stories told. Hope they can give us a balance and a little bit of both. You can't have a beautiful young cast like this and have it be all drama and tears every week. I personally want to see some romance and the inside of Dr. Andy's motel room. :giggle: I'm thinking Carol Barbee needs to watch some episodes of ER. I just discovered it myself through the miracle of reruns on TNT every day. I know, don't throw tomatoes. It does cases and personal life in just the right balance. Well it did something right. It was on for 15 years. Hope TR gets even a fraction of that air time.... :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

There is going to be another medical drama starting this Fall. NBC's Parenthood was scheduled for Fall but has been pushed back to mid-season due to the ill-health of one of the leads (Maura Tierney). So Mercy, originally scheduled for mid-season, has now been pushed up to premiere in September instead.

This just came across twitter from tvmadman.com: News out of Pittsburgh, Alfre Woodard replaces Julia Ormond on CBS's Three Rivers. More episodes to be shot on locale.

And I just saw a commercial for 3R... while watching Medium... and it was a longer version, but bits of that promo... so finally a new commercial!
