3 Alex clips from "Australians Hit Hollywood" - new clip 9/7
This documentary has been around for a while, but I don't think I've ever seen these two clips before (posted by CafeteriaMom @ TRF):

Sigh. Happy sigh.
Alex doing his Aussie accent, talking about accents and music and acting lessons, in his interview voice, busily using his lovely hands to speak, wearing rings, showing a peak of tattoo, with Mick's hair and Kevin's scruff. What a lovely, smart, interesting guy.
Red, you always have something wonderful to share.

Thanks Red! I hadn't seen either of those clip either. Can they be dated? Are they recent?

blue, I don't have a precise date but they certainly aren't recent. If I had to guess, I'd say sometime during the early Moonlight filming.

They could be from an interview done while he was vacationing in Oz over the holidays. I noticed that they used his "American" spelling for O'Lachlan even though it was an Aussie interview.

Watched the 'accents' vid---oh my. His Australian accent was delighfully thick in that interview--and that soft voice. Good Bob what that man can do to me. Liked his comparison of accents and music---very cool. Such an adorable, animated speaker.
As far as his shirt---yeah, I wanna be there. Badly. Very, very badly.

Re: Two Alex clips from "Australians Hit Hollywood"
I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the scenes were filmed while Alex was in Australia during the writer's strike. He definitely has Mick hair, but he's got his Aussie accent back, so I bet he'd been back home for a little while. And the beard looks quite a lot like the one he had when he filmed the "thank you" spot for the People's Choice Awards, don't you think?
Thank you for bringing these over, Red, and to CafeteriaMom for putting them up for us to see!
Yeah, the part about accents and music just about did me in...

...annnnnd the reference to his thank-you spot nearly did me in, Alle... I hadn't found y'all yet back then, and I had no idea that Mick was an Aussie! No longer able to contain my fascination, I googled Alex the next day...

Re: Two Alex clips from "Australians Hit Hollywood"
Red,
thanks for sharing...wonderful to hear how he works at accents....found it interesting to hear him say that Americans think differently than Australians...don't know about that as the only Aussies I've ever talked to are on this board....
Found myself watching his hands (grace's influence)...noted the pinkie ring he wears, but couldn't quite get the larger ring on his left hand...
He seems to like tees that say something....the one from the BUP filming that said 'No Pictures' I found a little weird. to each his own.
the combination of the hair and beard works for him...reminded me of d'Artagnan

Lovely Alex
And I suspect early 2007, his Mick hair was still growing

Lovely, Red, and I haven't seen them before. I couldn't make the first one work, though.
The tongue, the scruff, the hands, the Mick long hair, wonderful! And the accent!

I made some caps. They are very fuzzy and not super clear, but I tried to lighten them up.
Sampling:

The other 26 caps here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v159/ ... 0Pictures/
He CANNOT talk without his hands...or eyebrows. LOL

Great caps, Christy
And yes, if you tied Alex's hands, he will not be able to talk
