I could write a novel on why I love Mick St. John, but....I won't. Heh.
I adore him and he's definitely one of the few TV characters I can say I'm in love with. He's flawed, but nobody is perfect and shouldn't be kept to that standard anyway.
Mick is a hero, first and foremost. He's a old, gentle, strong soul who cares about humanity and longs to be part of it again. Since he can't (not talking about The Cure. LOL), he learns to accept what and who he REALLY is. You have to love yourself before you can love another.
He's romantic and yet not so much so, that he is a untouchable creature. Sometimes, heroes in books/movies/TV are WAY too unbelievable and you can't relate to them. I love Moonlight because it dealt with real issues even though it was a fantasy show. I love fantasy, but if I can't relate to the characters in some way....it won't affect me and I won't care.
I could see why Beth and Coraline fell in love with Mick. He's magnetic and electric, strong yet soft and mysterious but also approachable. A protector who will right all the wrongs. Passionate and intense, he gives you his full attention.
That's why I love Mick St. John.
