This is beginning to feel like a series of expansions of all my most favorite scenes!

So much depth here, and Mick's thoughts feel so right. He was so far gone when Beth arrived; I love the idea that he was hearing his mother's voice in that moment.

The most telling line for me is this one . . .I will survive. But who will I be now?

That's just what I saw in this moment . . . that though this moment was a victory for Beth (and for us) it was really a failure in Mick's mind. He'd managed to stay away from Leni, even though he'd believed earlier that it would be impossible for him to do so. But he couldn't fight it when Beth was there . . .

Red, I love the way you got into Mick's head!

You have beautifully illustrated the dichotomy of Mick's existence. His will to live at odds with his horror at what he must do to survive. Beth is both his salvation and his downfall. He is bound to her forever.

Such a pivotal scene. One of the spots that made us love Moonlight forever, because it was so very interpretable (if that's a word!) in different ways.

This does play perfectly with Mick's expressions in that scene. So very believable.

Oh Red, this is so beautiful. Watching and rewatching that wonderful scene on the show, I've always wondered what Mick was contemplating in his daze, when he was zoned-out, just before Beth's arrival.

Another classic and yes, it did bring a wee tear to my eyes as well- Poor Mick, so conflicted in his need for Beth and her life blood...

I loved this line, it summed up everything:
