Beautiful Los Angeles
This video has time-lapse looks at Los Angeles that are so reminiscent of Moonlight. Just beautiful. It made me fall even more in love with my city than I already was! http://thecreatorsproject.vice.com/blog ... gher-power

Wow - just breathtaking. And if there is anything more beautiful than the lights of a city at night than I haven't found it yet.

Re: Beautiful Los Angeles
I finally had a chance to watch this... it is breathtaking. And you're right, Alle, it brought back some lovely memories of Moonlight.
It was through Moonlight that I fell in love with LA, and so many of the the shots in this video were reminiscent of the nighttime fly-ins and segues used in the show. I can't see any shot of the city now without wondering if I have stood there or without wanting to find that spot in the future.
Thanks so much for posting this and putting here in the ML Locations thread.

Thank-you so much for bringing this to us. Isn't it funny that all these places mean so much? Having been to LA a few times it means all the more....

Re: Beautiful Los Angeles
This dude rigged an aerial drone with a GoPro camera and flew it between the buildings in downtown LA. The result? A bird's-eye-view tour of some wonderful architecture and street art in downtown -- and a few familiar Moonlight locations!
I hope he does more videos with other parts of LA. I just love the low-flying vantage point (compared to helicopters and planes that have to fly above the buildings).

And late to the party, but I lurve the city lights videos from the first post in the thread.
I've always loved big cities at night -- they just have this feeling like anything can happen; there may be magic just around the corner...

Re: Beautiful Los Angeles
Here's an article about a new time-lapse film of Los Angeles at night--it has the film embedded in it. In my opinion, this film isn't as good as the one I posted at the top of this thread; there are too many similar shots, and too many shots where the people coming and going in the foreground in "fast motion" (because of the time lapse) are a distraction from the cityscape. But the subject is divine: gorgeous, nighttime LA.

Here's another gorgeous LA drone video, with a fabulous, bluesy soundtrack that Mick would love. Lots of familiar Moonlight locations, too. http://la.curbed.com/archives/2015/08/t ... r_made.php

Wow!! That's a view of the city you'd never get anyway else. Really gives you a sense of the diverse architectural styles.

That was a very enjoyable mash of eclectic building styles and "decoration" and I very much liked the accompanying music (an edit of Boo Boo Davis's "If You Ain't Never Had The Blues")

More amazing videos of Los Angeles.
I hadn't realized that Colin Rich, who made the lovely time-lapse video City Lights (see the first post of this thread), did a trilogy of LA time-lapse videos, of which that one was the last. Here are the other two.
L. A. Light: https://vimeo.com/27235856 (I love the song accompanying it - "To Build a Home," by the Cinematic Orchestra)
Nightfall: https://vimeo.com/47224216 (Music is "Echoes of Mine," by M83)
