Better late... Challenge #159 -- PG-13
Standard disclaimer. I don’t own Moonlight. No, really.
Better Late…?
Josef managed to contain himself until Mick left his office, the only sign of his agitation an intently tapping finger. Once the door had closed, he gave vent to his displeasure. “Twenty-two years,” he said, his voice rising in anger, almost echoing in the empty space, “twenty-two years of listening to his whining about killing her, and now he thinks to tell me that he never saw her ashes?” It had cost vast amounts of accumulated good will, to convince the Cleaners that Mick had not killed his sire, and that Coraline had simply chosen an opportune time to move on.
Then again, and he laughed softly as the thought struck him, it wasn’t as if he hadn’t known from the very beginning that Coraline had outraced the flames; after all, it was at Coraline’s behest that he’d taken Mick under his wing. He shook his head in amusement. She really was a remarkably forgiving woman.

LOL! Leave it to Josef to be furious at Mick for doing what Josef knew all along he'd done!
(or, more accurately, hadn't done!
)
...and also to change moods in an instant!
And he's right... at least where Mick's concerned, Coraline is incredibly forgiving.
I guess that's what love does to a girl...

Wow, so many mood swings in so few words. Do you think vampires get PMS?

This is just great, Lucky! So very Josef.
We know that he can "keep a secret."
I don't think irony is ever lost on him, so it's not at all surprising that, after tossing it around a bit, he would end up amused at the turn of events.
The real surprise here, for me, is the idea that Coraline would have asked Josef to look after Mick AFTER the "fatal" fire. The more I think about it, the more I get a chill.

I think I was channeling the Josef and Coraline of the original pilot--where it was clear they were in cahoots.

I love the idea of this. Coraline was so obsessed with Mick I could imagine her contacting Josef. This is great.

Cahoots indeed!
Don't know about syndromes or can't figure out anything for PFS (post fang stress) except boredom for Josef.
Bet Lucky can...
Oh, by the way--this is wonderful!!!!!!!!
Thank you!!!
