Champagne Challenge #134: "Resolution" Drabble - 36 hrs only

This is going to be a 36-hour challenge: you have from now until midnight tomorrow night to come up with a response. The challenge is to write a resolution -- like one might make for the New Year -- in the form of a drabble. (A drabble is a short piece of prose that is exactly 100 words in length.) This can be a resolution for any character (even an OC) as long as it's set in the Moonlight universe.

2009’s Resolutions

At my age I ought to be looking at 401K’s, life insurance and perhaps buying that cozy beach bungalow that Marissa’ Realtor boyfriend was trying to unload for a song.
But because of him. . . .

I’m stepping into 2009 yearning for Mick to get over ever-present angst and entertain a dialogue about all he means to me.

I’m longing for my “liquid” diet to rest next to Mick’s, hidden behind the glass collection.

I’ve celebrated by last flipping Birthday!

I wouldn’t want Mick to date an older woman; it certainly didn’t work out for him the last time.

You go, Beth! That vamp's not going to make the commitment unless you get him to face up to the fact that he needs to do it. You're good at getting him to realize that he needs to change. So keep on with the gentle pushing. You'll get there eventually. And I hope YOUR resolution to not celebrate another birthday comes true.

Beth is sometimes more vamp than Mick; she knows what she wants and just needs him to realize and accept it.

Love the line about his relationship with an 'older woman' not working out the last time.

Luckily for those of us who like Mick-Beth, Beth is very determined. She is almost always the one who moves their relationship forward. Mick usually needs a push in the right direction.
