I love his description of the director giving the actors 'freebies' - that's a cool ideal. Maybe the actors put a better spin on a scene than the director envisioned or maybe the final scene gets modified based on what the director saw in the freebie.

Both interviewers harken back to 'Veronica Mars' (understandable), but I found it interesting that Jason mentioned ML several times.

I'll probably be doing some more TV soon. I've got something lined up, but it's not completely worked out yet. But I'm also interested in getting into more films like Sonny down the line.
