Oooh, thanks for that SS. You're right - I don't think he's a socks melter either, but...adequate. Funny, I kind of expected a classy British accent like his Aunty Helen, but he sounds...what is that - cockney? He's more 'regular guy' than the 'uppercrust' fellow I was expecting. I bet he got on well with Al though.

Yes, we can....but I wonder about 2 things - just how 'different' his physical appearance will be from Mick and how heavily (or not) will CBS promote his appearance in CM. On one extreme, you might see the standard promotion for a new episode. On the other extreme, it could be 'the return of Alex O'Laughlin to TV' wth blaring trumpets...wonder which it will be

You know, maybe I'm a little paranoid, but....I just finished watching CM and nearly choked when while the criminal was doing her thing, the background music was 'Mercy'...maybe the trumpet blaring has started, just in a subtle manner.

Considering that Alex looks different in just about any role he takes on, I'd lay money on a VASTLY different look from Mick.

And as for promoting the episode, we don't know the exact date yet, only that it will be in late April. IF his episode is on the last Wednesday in April, that falls within May sweeps, so I would guess that the promotion will be heavy anyway. At least I'm hoping that's the case. Keeping all available appendages crossed.

Hello, the music of Duffy's Mercy about did me in! How many other ML fans noticed it?? (BTW if you watched CSI NY afterwards, "Cherish" was on it!)

I would imagine that CBS will promote Alex on CM (remember the "Do you miss me?" ads that aired last year before the final four episodes - that whole campaign makes me teary-eyed every time I think about it.) I hadn't considered the "sweeps" aspect. That would definitely be in Alex's favor! And, yes, I would imagine that his physical appearance will be unique to this role, but a girl can dream, can't she?
