To me it doesn't make sense to go to the trouble of making prescription glasses for an actor who would never wear them again (they were hardly trendy framesallegrita wrote:Christy--WOW! Thanks for those great caps!
I notice, looking through the pictures, that Alex did not wear prescription glasses. Looking at the cap Coco quoted, you can tell there's no refraction in the lens--the line of his face continues unchanged as you look through the glass. So... plain glass lenses. I had wondered if he would wear prescription lenses, since he obviously does wear corrective lenses (coco's favorite pictures from SD ComicCon). But prescription lenses do change your looks (for example, lenses for farsightedness make your eyes look much bigger), so maybe they don't use them in TV-world.

TV by the Numbers finally posted the weekly ratings for the week ending May 5, 2009. "The Big Wheel" episode of Criminal Minds was #10 for the week with 13.6+ viewers. Keep in mind that this episode of CM competed against the results show of American Idol which was #2 for the week. So Alex did great! Yeahhh!!!!

Here is another great review of Alex's superb performance:
http://screenrant.com/weekly-tv-wrap-7t ... simm-7601/
Did anyone catch the April 29th Criminal Minds episode titled “Big Wheel”, where Alex O’Loughlin guest starred? I have never seen an actor transform so differently between television roles like Alex did for this one. In fact I watched the episode and it wasn’t until the teaser opener was done that I recognized his eyes. And if I didn’t know at some point he was guest starring, I’d never have caught it. He changed his looks, his voice and mannerisms to the point of being this character.
Aside from O’Loughlin guest starring, for the first time in my life, I felt truly bad for the murderer. O’Loughlin pulled this off in a way I never expected and if you are even a partial fan of either the franchise or the actor, TRACK IT DOWN. That’s my recommendation for the week.
After seeing that, I truly am looking forward to his new pilot on CBS, a medical drama called Three Rivers.

This reviewer is wise and correct, has great taste, and should be heard far and wide...lynnrxgal wrote:Here is another great review of Alex's superb performance:Did anyone catch the April 29th Criminal Minds episode titled “Big Wheel”, where Alex O’Loughlin guest starred? It may not have been Grace....but she could have paid him
One interesting note on this review....the reviewer did not tie Alex O'Loughlin to any prior role, not Moonlight, nor the Shield, nor any of his movie roles. It's almost as if everyone should know who he is....
If they don't, they will

While looking at those lovely new Alex pix that Jade posted, I found these behind the scenes pix of Alex's CM role on the same site. Hope it's OK to post this link here, if not, my apologies and I'm sure a mod will delete it. The pics are on pages 1-3.

The link's fine, MSJ_s.
The fascinating pics for me are nos. 23 and 24. In an instant, the body language changes, and it's Alex again. Amazing.
