It never ceases to amuse me how much our boy HATES tight collars. Even when he wears a suit and tie, his collar is always about an inch too big! :snicker: The only suit I can remember seeing him in where the collar fit was the black-on-black tux in Sonata. Oh, and maybe his military uniform. But when he's dressing for himself? NEVER does he wear a tight collar...

Just my 2 cents, but I think in those most recent pictures that he really does look thinner and that makes him look older - which may be the point. In the film he's supposed to be the man of a 40ish woman's dreams. While I'm sure most 40 year old women dream of 30ish men, I think in the movie he's supposed to be closer to her age.

He looks like a younger version of Hugh Laurie here, maybe they were going for a Dr. House vibe?
I think that maybe he is thinner because he stopped working out so hard after the action role of Mick St. John stopped. As a surgeon he wouldn't have time or inclination to pack such muscles. That alone can be enough to let him look thinner. On the other hand, he still looked quite buff when we saw him in Criminal Minds, so it might just be the camera. He can't have lost that much weight in just a few weeks, or can he? Actors are rare creatures...
