And I think he's doing great with the terms. He always, even in ML, pronounces some words slowly. I think that's just his version of American. And the longer the word, the more slowly but surely he sometimes went, even as Mick. Think egalitarian. :giggle:
Apparently Aussies speak very fast - or so I've been told by Americans. (My accent is pretty thick.) It's very likely that Alex was told - more than once - to slow down when he first arrived in the States.

To Aussie ears, Americans do speak slowly. :giggle:

P.S. during the L.A. Con I had the opportunity to speak to a few folks over the phone, and if memory serves, Greenleaf was one of the people who asked me to slow down 'cause she couldn't understand my accent... :snicker:

Umm, Phoenix, if ever we speak in person...you're going to find that if you think Americans generally speak slowly, the Texas drawl may drive you up a wall. We're known for speaking even more slowly than the average American!

Awwwww, Lucky, I love Americans. :hearts: The Great Aussie Accent drives me up the wall, actually. Hence I prefer our sweet Alex playing a Yank. :melts:

I'm just glad that I understand everybody in writing. And you would no doubt cringe at my German accent. :snicker:

I would love to hear EVERYONE'S accent! French, German, Australian, Brazilian, etc!

I'm one of those slow-talkin' Texans along with Lucky and AggieVamp. How y'all doin'?

I have noticed Alex's Aussie a bit more on Three Rivers than I did on ML. But he's AMAZING with the American accent compared to Simon Baker on The Mentalist. He's adorable and everything, but man, is his accent all over the place.

I wouldn't, francis - I've listened to Dutch accents since I was born, so I'm bettin yours wouldn't be THAT much different.

 I know I'm not part of the regular crowd here, but I would like to say that I think there is something amazing about the Europeans and others on this site from foreign countries. Why? You speak more than one language like it was a natural thing. I admire that. I studied Spanish for 12 years and it was one of my college majors. I still found it difficult even though I loved it. And we can add my native New Orleans accent to the mix. Haven't lived there for years, but I guess you never really shake that. So hats off to all of you English speaking ladies out there in foreign lands. :yahoo:
