I posted this info on the other boards yesterday. Not sure if anyone had copied it here yet.
ODM, just to be clear, this information was not copied from your post. Any information posted on other boards remains the property of that poster and will not be copied here (and if it is, it will be with permission and credit). This link was sent to me by a YouTube friend.

Oh no Red, I think you misunderstood my post earlier. I meant I posted the other 3 auditions with Jonathan Roumie EDDIE BANKS, Lorenzo Jones and Eli Jackson on the other boards yesterday but ran out of time and didn't have a chance to log on and post them here. I didn't have a chance to go through many pages here so didn't want to duplicate in case someone had already posted them here.

Just something Helloeeze and I came across on YT after watching the "Nancy" audition. These clips were apparently posted by the actors themselves so we were trying to come up with Alex's possible ID/nickname and perhaps some clip from his audition. They're not my property so no permission or credit from me. Sorry for the misunderstanding. :smooch:

Thanks for the clarification, ODM.
rijane wrote:I just got back from Pittsburgh and, before you ask, had no Alex sighting. But I did spend about eight hours today as an extra on "Three Rivers" and had a total blast.

I, uh, acquired a call sheet and, though Julia Ormond is part of the cast, on the first couple of call sheets, she's not even listed. Alex is first (though he's on a hold - I don't think he starts filming til tomorrow at least).

Just thought I'd share :)

I'm so happy you posted!! I've been jumping up and down all day on your behalf (assuming that as an extra, with actual camera time, jumping up and down would probably be frowned upon...). Now we all just have to hope that the show gets picked up and we get to see your big moment on network TV :snicker: .

Can you give us any more scoop on the scene(s) you were in, what the story is etc.? Oh and you know that I'm totally with Grace, right? The prodigal returns... and I'd love it if you weren't a stranger :D.

Thanks for the warm reception.

They never told me what I could or couldn't say, so I'm assuming everything is fair game.

I was in one of the first scenes, a wedding. Despite taking about seven hours to film, I'm going to guess it's about 5 minutes worth of footage, probably toward the beginning (someone had to explain the hook to me of the "Three Rivers" which is both a Pittsburgh thing- where the Ohio, Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers all meet - and because there are three stories all interwoven - the doctor, the donor and the recipient)

The scene is set in the fall in South Carolina (according to the wedding program prop that was floating around, Nov. 7). The wedding was between Kim, a South Carolina girl, and Sam, a damned Yankee. It's a small wedding at a rural church. The vows are said, a brief joke is made about Sam being a Yankee, the rings are exchanged and the groom kisses the bride (man, did he kiss her. On the first take, the director had to cut and go again because the actor sort of spun her and grabbed the back of her head for what was supposed to be a v long but sedate kiss).

Then suddenly a man walks in, draws his gun and shoots the bride. Amid screams and panic, the gunman is tackled by two men as the groom holds his bleeding bride and screams for someone to call 911.

End scene.

The crew was running late - they were supposed to head to the Allegheny Airport at 2:30 p.m. (all the background work there was real - no hired extras). They were - per usual for a film set or a political candidate - running late. The extras didn't get let go and paperwork finished til 3 p.m. while the crew was at lunch, so I'm not sure they got everything they needed there.

The call sheet for the airport includes the jet co-pilot, piper pilot, ground crew, Pittsburgh paramedics and South Caroline paramedics and Miranda. There are exterior shots of a the procurement team and pilot boarding a private jet, then the jet taxis, then a dusk shot of the piper taking off in close up rain, then the piper parked and "our gang" boards in the storm (I'm going to assume Kim is brain dead and this is the transfer to the Three Rivers hospital).

Upon further, non-hyper examination of the yoinked sheet, Saturday's advance schedule had at least two interior scenes scheduled (the copy is cut off after that) at Three Rivers. And Alex IS on the schedule for that. They're filming that part at Brownsville Tri-County Hospital in Fayette County.

The first at Clinical Director Campos's office as he scolds Miranda, the invites her to sit in on a committee meeting. Then the committee meeting (also at Three Rivers) meets in the boardroom - Alex is on the committee :)

It was super fun and a very interesting way to spend the day, lack of Alex aside (I think I'd have hyperventilated and been escorted off the set. Of course, I'd have definitely been able to conjure a quality scream, just not during the gunman scene ;) )

What a great experience, rijane! Sounds like an interesting story.
Will you be back to see Alex filming?
Any idea how long it takes to shoot the pilot?
Thanks for the report, dear :rose:

I asked to come back, but I don't know if they recycle extras. According to the other background members (some of whom do this as a hobby - hell of a hobby, you know?), they don't mind reusing extras for large scenes but if there's a chance that your face is clearly on camera, not so much.
My scene was relatively large (about 25 people), so it's possible. But not particularly likely.

They'll be filming for 12 days. I believe April 10 is the last scheduled day.

{{Edited 'cause I was wrong}}

Fun, huh? :)

Now that's really something! I thought they will be filming both in Pittsburgh and LA.
Alex might be living there? Well, I anticipate a trip to Pittsburgh :snicker:

I think you might be right on that one, darlingcat.

I think I misread this article: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09055/951116-42.stm

It had an paragraph about next year's filming and the 60 percent needing to be filmed in Pittsburgh to get the tax credit, but then says: "Until they know whether "Three Rivers" has a future beyond the pilot, producers won't commit to a filming location for additional episodes. CBS will announce its fall schedule on May 20"

Also, DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com just ran a bit about the LA City Council doing some tax credits, so maybe they'll just do exterior shots and the occasional special ep like Grey's.

My bad :)

Thanks Rijane for sharing. It sounds like a lot of fun.

So they had already cast the role for Miranda. How come we didn't see any announcement going out about the actress... she may get to be Dr. Andy's love interest.

I think Miranda is going to be played by Katherine Moennig. At least that's what i've surmised from the description of the character she's been hired to play.

Thanks again for the tidbits, Rijane. So excited!! :cheer:
The PA tax incentive program is scheduled to expire the end of June but the PA democrats are lobbying to get it extended. So even after the big May 20 day, the TR producers won't know about the future of the location until after June. More waiting.

rijane, thanks so much for the scoop. This is all totally alien to me so it's fascinating to hear how this kind of thing works. And I hear ya on the disappointment (tinged with a little relief) that you didn't see Alex; it just might all have been too much :giggle: .

And Grace, you kill me:

Yep, I believe that's the one, ODM. I guess she plays those edgy, angsty, fight against authority figures roles very well. :snicker:
